RUTH JULIANNA CATHERINE MAIN (nee SEIFERT) 1918 - 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Ruth Main. Ruth was a proud, feisty lady who passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 2, 2004 at Concordia Personal Care Home at the age of 85 years. She was predeceased by her husband Jim; her parents, Henry and Anna; three sisters, Anna, Mary and Elizabeth and four brothers, August, Alex, Johann and Henry. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ruth Weiss (Walter), Glorinda Schultiess (Robert), Lynette Beattie (Robert) grandchildren, Ryan, Carolyn, Samantha (Joe), Christopher, Katherine and Heather, as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was a charter member of Zion Lutheran Church and cherished both her church and her faith. She was an avid reader and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles. Gardening became a hobby after her retirement and she often had the most beautiful flowerbeds on the block. Ruth always enjoyed a good game of cards with her grandchildren, Ryan and Carolyn, but her greatest passion was baseball. Ruth was a devoted Blue Jays fan and never missed one of their games on television. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Personal Care Home for treating our mother with the respect and kindness she so deserved. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. The funeral service will be held at St. Lukes Zion Lutheran Church, 2903 McPhillips on Friday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
