MARY CHEROPITA (nee: FLUNDRA) Mary Cheropita of Winnipeg and formerly of The Pas passed away May 3, 2004 at the age of 89 years. Mary was born on June 13, 1914 in Lennard, MB in the R.M. of Shell Mouth to George and Margaret Flundra. After moving to The Pas in 1948 she worked well into her retirement years for a number of local residents. She moved to Winnipeg in June 2001. Mary was predeceased by her parents, two husbands, as well as five brothers and one sister. She was also predeceased by a son-in-law, two daughters-in-law, and a granddaughter, Lydia Ezepchuk. Mary is survived by her children, Sherri Cheropita of Winnipeg, John Cheropita of Nampa, AB, Mel Sasek (Connie) of Clearwater BC, Martha Ezepchuk and Karol Sasek both of The Pas MB; two brothers, Nick of Regina, Paul (Violet) of Russell; three sisters Christina of Calgary, Eve of Hamilton and Tina of Cranbrook. Grandchildren, Sandy (Brent), Lyle (Melinda), Chantal (Sean) of Winnipeg, Jared of Brandon, Karol Jr. of The Pas, Krystelle (James) of Calgary, Sherri Lyn of Terrace, BC, Debra of High River, AB, and Pamela (Darren) of New Brunswick. Also several great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She will be remembered and sadly missed by all. A private family service will be held at Church Of The Rock with internment to follow at St. Vital Cemetery.
