JOAN W. JONES (HALLDORSON) (nee HAMILTON) Peacefully on May 1, 2004 with her family by her side, Joan passed away at the Victoria General Hospital following a brief illness. She is survived by her loving husband Norm Jones; daughters, Janice Scrivens (Don) and Susan Hallett (Bruce) stepdaughter, Heather Bruce (Wayne), stepson Wayne Jones (Kathy) grandchildren, Erin, Kelly, Daniel, Brock, Kevin, Derek, Jennifer, Marie-Christine and Talisa; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Austin; brothers, Alan Hamilton and Brian Hamilton and many others relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother and father and brother George Gary Hamilton (Judy) of Warren, MB in March 1997. Joan was fun loving and with her farm upbringing, loved the outdoors. She and Norm spent many happy times travelling with their trailer across Canada to visit family and friends. Joan enjoyed curling and other sports. She loved working in her garden. In accordance with Joans wishes, cremation has taken place and a family gathering will be held at a later date. Appreciations to Dr. Brian Sharkey and the nurses at Victoria General Hospital who cared for Joan. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Joans memory may be made to the Victoria Hospital, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8 or a charity of your choice.
