SIGURDUR SIGURDSON Peacefully on Monday, May 3, 2004 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, in Winnipeg, MB, Sigurdur Sigurdson aged 92 years of Winnipeg, MB, formerly of Oakview, MB. Sigurdur Sigurdson was born August 24, 1911. He was born on the family farm where he continued to farm for approximately 83 years. He was a pioneer indeed--he worked the land hard and prospered. He and his wife Rakel resided in Winnipeg at Amber Meadows for his remaining 3 years. He called it gracious living and they deserved it. He was predeceased by his brothers, Skapti, Jon; and sisters, Heitha, Svava, Thorn; and their daughter Thelma. He issurvived by his lovely wife Rackel; his son Dr. Siggi Sigurdson andhis family, Rachelle, Sigurdur, Erlendur and Tandri. He is alsosurvivedby his son-in-law Jim Forsyth andhis family Avery and Heitha. He is now returning home to his original birth place. He was proud of all he knew and loved his immediate family immensely. He was the best father, Afi, Brother, Uncle, and friend. He leaves us in sorrow, we will always keep him in our hearts. God bless him and rest in peace lifid er got eins og allt folk og gathur matur (all food and allpeople are good, life is good) - Sigurdur Sigurdson A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10 at the Siglunes Community Hall, with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow in the Oakview Cemetery. Pallbearer that day for Afi will be his grandson - Sigurdur Sigurdson. Honorary Pallbearers will be all his friends and his loving family.
