Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUGUST DRAWERT The family of Stan and Ides Mazur sadly announce the sudden passing of her uncle, August Drawert, on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at the Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home, Winnipeg, MB. He was born in Genberg, Krs. Rypin, Poland on August 3, 1915, the eldest son of Karl and Ernestine Drawert. Having served in the Second World War, he then immigrated to Winnipeg in 1950. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Erich and Heinrich in Germany, Erwin in Lansing, Michigan; also sisters, Genilda Woyke, Michigan and Elsie Froehlich, Beausejour, MB. He is survived by his sister-in-law Annemarie Drawert; several nephews, nieces and their families in Germany, Michigan and Manitoba. A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6 with Rev. Hugh Laidlaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
