FLORENCE ANNE MARCO (nee SHERMAN) April 27, 1918 - May 4, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden peaceful passing of our cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Florence Marco, at her apartment, Fred Douglas Place. Predeceased by her beloved husband Steve in 1972; Florence leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her son Stan (Cheryl) her grandchildren, Tracy, Stephen (Jeannette) and her great-grandchildren, Desiree and Alexis. Florence was born in Grandview, MB and received her early education, moving to Winnipeg in 1948 and completing grades 9 and 10 through tutoring services. In 1940 she met Steve Marco and he asked for her hand in marriage. She had worked in various jobs from Sudbury to Winnipeg and Transcona at the Kinsmen Swimming Pool. Florence was very active with the Transcona Kinettes and was a member of the Transcona Memorial United Church. She had moved from Transcona to Fred Douglas Place in 1989 and was very active in most activities of the complex. Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. Interment to follow, along side her husband Steve, at the Transcona Cemetery. Rest in Peace, We all will miss you. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
