Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM WILBERT BEACH (BILL) Suddenly on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at the age of nearly 81 years, Bill passed away at the Carman Memorial Hospital. Born on May 10, 1023, in Elrose, SK, Bill was one of nine children born to Fred and Alma Beach. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Ruth in childhood, brother Alfred (Gladys), sister Arlene Farnsworth, twin sister Hazel and husband George Butler and sister-in-law Phyllis Beach. Bill is survived by brothers, Wayne (Vi), Eugene (Marie), Philip; and his twin Phyllis (Herman Schulte) and their families. In the early 1940s Bill moved to Culross, MB and lived with his Uncle W. C. Ross until he joined the army in 1943. After being discharged in 1946 he bought his own land and started farming. For many years during the winter he went to Prince George, BC to work as a mechanic in the logging camps. In the early 1960s he worked as a grader operator for the RM of Grey. He received a gold watch for 25 years of dedicated service. After his farm was sold in the 1980s, he built a home in Elm Creek where he resided until he moved to Heritage Manor. Bill had many fond memories of his ski-dooing and fishing trips in British Columbia with his family. His generosity to all his family will always be remembered. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted from Doyles Funeral Home in Carman, MB at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10 with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment to follow in the Elm Creek Cemetery, with reception in the St. Andrews United Church in Elm Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Andrews United Church Memorial Fund, Elm Creek, MB. Doyles of Carman in care of arrangements. www.doyleschapels.com.
