Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA LORENZO LOYOLA 1949 - 2004 Peacefully, on Friday, April 30, 2004, with her loving family by her side, Maria Lorenzo Loyola, aged 54, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Maria leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Abelardo, daughter Melanie, and son Alvin. She will be missed and remembered by many especially by her mother Rosario Lorenzo; brothers, Eduardo; Napoleon (Lita) and their children, Roxanne and Elena; and Rosauro (Fe) and their children, Lloyd and John Lorenzo; sisters, Marissa, Olga and Lydia Capuno (Eugene) and their daughter Genelyn. Her father Bernabe Lorenzo also predeceased her. She also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends from Winnipeg, Toronto and Philippines. Maria was born on November 1, 1949 and raised in Paranaque, Philippines. She immigrated to Canada in 1973. She married Abelardo Loyola on May 30, 1981 and was blessed with two children, Melanie and Alvin. She was a happy, funny and full of life person, always joking around, fond of shopping and travelling, very caring and helpful and went out of her way to help out friends and families. She was working at Health Sciences General Hospital in the housekeeping department. Viewing and Lamay will be held on Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Home, 4477 Main St. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Mar Batucan officiating, at St. Edwards The Confessor Church on 818 Arlington St. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Josip Bontican, Ken Ramos, Anthony Solano, Ambelino Molinar, Philip Dimaunahan and Leyland Smith. The Lorenzo and Loyola family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the medical and nursing staff on the Palliative Unit, 8th floor of St.Boniface General Hospital for all the care and support they had given to Maria.
