LYDIA MIKA (nee SCHMIDT) 1910 - 2004 In the early hours of the morning on May 4, 2004, we kissed you good-bye, it was time and you were ready for the final journey. Lydia left us peacefully at the age of 93 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ralph, two brothers and four sisters. Lydia was born in Winnipeg where she resided her whole life. She loved life and believed it was important to keep young in spirit. She was a most loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be forever remembered by her daughter Mona; son-in-law Gordon Klayh; granddaughter Kimberley Daeninck (Kenneth) grandson Kevin Klayh (Brenda) two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Erika Klayh. Many thanks to all the nurses and staff at the Concordia Place Care Centre for their loving care, kindness and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Concordia Place Care Centre Chapel, 1000 Molson St., Winnipeg, with Rev. R. Kruesel and Chaplain J. Friesen officiating. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
