SARAH NAGLER It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sarah Nagler at the St. Boniface Hospital on February 28, 2004, following a brief illness. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband Abraham in 1995, her parents, and by her three brothers, Reubin, Jack, and Sidney Kaell. She will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter Aline, son Samuel, sister Annette Kaell, all of Winnipeg, sister Goldie Goldstein of Detroit, Michigan, as well as numerous relatives and friends in Winnipeg and throughout Canada and the United States. Mom was born and raised in Winnipeg and in her younger years, lived in various cities in Canada and the USA. She always spoke fondly of the years she worked as a legal secretary in cities such as Chicago, Detroit and San Francisco. On a "fateful" visit back home to Winnipeg, she met her future husband Abe Nagler from Melville, Saskatchewan. In Melville, Mom continued to work as a legal secretary, raise her two children and work beside her husband in the family business. She was also involved in various organizations such as the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxilliary and Hadassah. Mom and Dad retired to Winnipeg in the mid-eighties and she was the primary caregiver to Dad when he became ill. She was always there for Dad as well as for her children all throughout their lives. Her familys well-being and happiness meant everything to her. Mom was a gentle soul and cultivated many lifelong friendships. Anyone who met Mom usually commented on what a lovely person she was. She will be missed more than words can express. Graveside services were held at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery on March 2, 2004 with Rabbi Weizman officiating.
