Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISABELLE REGINA NICHOLSON (nee BOURGEOIS) Isabelle (Bella) Nicholson, nee Bourgeois, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 7, 2004 at Boundary Trails Health Centre. Bella was born in Sperling, MB on March 17, 1922, grew up and attended school there. When the family purchased a farm near Oak Lake, Bella moved with them and worked in the Oak Lake grocery store. She met and married James G. Nicholson in Brandon on June 8, 1947. Jim (Slim) and Bella moved to Souris when Jim was employed with C.P.R. Bella was a valued employee of Stedmans store for over 20 years both in Souris and Morden. Jim and Bella moved to Morden in 1969 when Jim became assistant manager and then manager of Morden Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 15 years. Both Jim and Bella retired in 1985. Bella was a life member of Morden Friendship Centre and a life member of Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was a strong supporter of the Canadian Red Cross during the war and knit hundreds of items to send to our servicemen. Her knitting kept her busy during retirement, making mitts, scarves, socks, etc to help make up Christmas parcels for the Friendship Centre and the Thrift Shop. Every baby of her many friends was welcomed into the world with a newly knit sweater, bonnet and booties from Bella. Left to mourn are two sisters, Louise of Drayton Valley, Alberta and Renie of Brandon, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Jim of 54 years on January 10, 2003, sister Irene, September 10, 2003, and three brothers, George, Leo and Marcel. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Monday, May 10 at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden at 11:00 am with Karen Tjaden officiating. Ash interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Morden. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Morden Friendship Centre or Legion House No. 1 in Bellas memory. Wiebe Funeral Chapel, Morden In care of arrangements, (204)822-4755
