Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY RIDDELL (nee GODDARD) On Friday, April 23, 2004 Shirley Patricia Riddell passed away peacefully at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC. Shirley will be deeply missed by her husband Bob Sr.; daughter Janet Bailey (Gordon) her sons, Bob Jr. (Lauren), Jerry (Anita), Brian (Lynn) grandchildren, Clare Bailey (Matt), James Bailey (Linti), Jennifer, Abbey, Rachel, Lindsay, Steven, Paul and Lea. She also leaves to mourn her passing her brother Les Goddard (Mary) and sister Beatrice Stanley as well as many nieces and nephews. Shirley was born in Winnipeg, MB on April 27, 1929. She and Bob built their Winnipeg home and lived there after their wedding in June 1950 until they moved to Victoria in 1987. Shirley was known for her kind, friendly manner. She will be missed by her many friends and neighbours. Shirley was an accomplished seamstress and spent countless hours sewing for family and friends. Although Shirley loved to be close to home, she and Bob travelled together to England to visit their daughter Janet and her family several times, enjoyed a cross Canada trip by train and spent several relaxing winters in Cabos San Lucas, Mexico. A gathering to celebrate Shirleys life was held on her birthday, April 27 in Victoria.
