GUDJON (DAN) EMIL CLARENCE DANIELSON Of Kamloops, BC passed away on April 17, 2004 after a battle with cancer. Dan was predeceased by his wife Elleane; step-grandson Dale; parents Gudjon and Lauga; and brothers, Norman and Baldur. Left to mourn are daughters, Lynia (Rob) MacDonald and Georgina (Larry) Lestander of Kamloops; step-children, Marleane (John) Morrisey, Kathy Lynn (Robin) Vopni of Airdrie, AB, Kristi of Vancouver and Tim of Calgary; grandchildren, Jared, Erin, Noeleane, Candice, Chelsea, Amanda (Colin) and Mikaila; brothers, Ingi, Gordon (Helen) sisters, Alma (John) Riordan of Winnipeg, Gene of Arborg and sister-in-law Inga Danielson; numerous nieces and nephews and special cousin Thorey Jacobson. Dan was known as Johnny in Arborg, MB where he grew up. He served in the RCMP for 27 years in BC, retiring to Arborg in 1988 with Elleane. They were both active in the community. Dan was known for his sense of humour and as a great story-teller. He moved to Kamloops in August 2003 to spend his last days with his family.Thank you to Dr. Anders, Dr. Hussain, Dr. Wagstaff and nursing staff at High Country Health Hospice. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 at the Arborg Christian Fellowship Church, Pastor Tom Gerbrandt officiating. The ashes will be interred beside Elleane in Arborg. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ardal Community Cemetery or CancerCare, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
