Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY MacIVER (STEFANKO) Suddenly, in her home, on Sunday, May 9, 2004, Mary passed away. Mary was born May 27, 1927 in Winnipeg. She was one of a family of six children and grew up in the citys north end and attended St. Johns High School. She met her husband Don, at Grand Beach and married him on July 31, 1948. They raised three children, while working, which couldnt have been an easy task, but they never let us see that it was a challenge at times. She was not only our mother, but treated our friends as their mother as well. The door was always open and our house was where the neighbourhood kids came to listen to Kevins band practices or just hang out. Because she had such an easy-going nature she made them all feel welcome. Mary worked at Eatons and then the Canadian Wheat Board where she retired from in 1986. She enjoyed her retirement, spending her summers at the family cottage with her husband Don, her children, grandchildren and friends, where again, the door was always open. Our mother was a very devoted, loving person who also had a feisty nature that made her unique and unforgettable when you met her. We will all miss her. Mary is survived by her son Kevin; son Keith (Gerrie) daughter Darlene (Bob) and grandchildren, Nicole, Ken, Colin and Dana. She was predeceased by her husband Don in 1995, father John, mother Sophie, brother Nick and sister Anne. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m, at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
