Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA NOWOSTAWSKI (nee KOLACZ) 1925 - 2004 "Forever in Our Hearts" It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest mother Maria Nowostawski, on Sunday, May 9, 2004 after a long illness. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Jerry; daughters, Chris and Irene; son John; in-laws; grandchildren; and by many relatives in Poland and Ukraine. Maria (Mom) was a quiet, soft-spoken person who was also an avid social talker. She had spent years raising and caring for her family and working part-time until her retirement. Our thanks to everyone for their prayers and support over the past many months. We wish to express our deepest gratitude to all the doctors and nursing staff at St. Boniface Hospital, (Dr. Yaffe, Dr. Teddy, Victoria SWC and others) Palliative Care Staff, and Fr. John Mostivsky. Also special thanks to Riverview Health Centre (3 East Wing) Dr. Crowe, nurses, Tony, Lorraine, Shawn, Betty, aides, for their loving care and support in mothers journey in the final months and days. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 12 at 10:30 a.m., at Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church, 263 Fountain St, (Fountain and Logan) with the Rt. Rev. Canon Vladimir Olach officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre, St. Boniface Hospital or CancerCare Manitoba.
