Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY GEORGE DUCHARME August 24, 1917 - May 9, 2004 Peacefully at the St. Rose General Hospital, Harry went to his Creator at the age of 86. He leaves behind to cherish his memory and mourn him his nine children, sons, Frank Ducharme, Ken Ducharme (Gloria), Jim Ducharme, Nelson Ducharme, John Ducharme (Stephanie) and daughters, Lena Ducharme (Tom Lavallee), Lucy Ducharme, Lorette Rudolph (Kevin), Mary-Lou Olson (Harvey). There are also 36 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is also survived by his brother, Frank Ducharme and two sisters, Claudia Spence and Grace Spence. Harry was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Veronique and their two infant sons, Edward and George. Also, parents Peter and Isabella, brothers Walter, Wilfred, Julius and sisters, Olive and Lena. Harry was born at Lonely Lake, MB. After marrying his wife, Veronique, on April 6, 1948, he resided in Kinosota and Amaranth, settling his last years in Eddystone to raise their children. Harry enjoyed playing cards, visiting with friends, gardening and listening to his fiddling music. Prayers will be said on Thursday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba. Funeral services will begin on Friday, May 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church. Viewing will be prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the St. Thomas Cemetery in Eddystone where our Father will be laid to rest beside our Mother. Active pallbearers will be six of his grandsons, Daniel Ducharme, Cory Ducharme, Marshall Ducharme, Mitchell Boulette, Tibonnekoot Olson and Kirby Nelson. Harrys remaining grandchildren and great grandchildren are to consider themselves Honorary pallbearers. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Ste. Rose General Hospital during Harrys last hours to make him as comfortable as possible. Also, the family is grateful to Harrys close friend Freeman Johnson for his kindness and Bev Spence for her home care. Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements at 447-2444. Back Again Time has taken me from you, although not very far. Ill be watching through the sunshine and through the brightest star. Ill be watching all of you, from the Heavens up above. So take good care of each other and carry all my love. If youre ever wondering if Im there heres where you can start. Take a look inside yourself deep within your heart. Ill always be your Father and your best friend, So anytime you need me, close your eyes, Im back again. Goodbye our Dear Father and Grandfather
