Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA GEDDERT On May 11, 2004 Anna Geddert (nee Klassen) passed away peacefully in her home. She was born July 11, 1931 to Bernhard and Katharina Klassen (nee Derksen) in Schoeneberg, Ukraine. Annas walk with God began on January 28, 1942 when she became a Christian at age 10. She was later baptized on October 24, 1948 in Paraguay. She married Hans (John) Geddert on May 6, 1950 (in Paraguay), They immigrated to Canada in November of 1958. Anna was blessed with the gifts of hospitality and music. She was strong in her faith and loved to praise the Lord in song. Her favourite verse was Isaiah 41:10, "Do not be afraid. I am with you! I am your God! let nothing terrify you! I will make you strong and help you; I will protect you and save you." Anna was predeceased by parents, Bernhard and Katharina Klassen; brothers, Bernhard, Peter and Jakob. She is mourned by her husband Hans (John) daughter Gertrude Jean-Paul and husband Alix; son Walter Geddert and wife Anna Marie; son Teo Geddert and wife Carolyn; daughter Beverly Rosas-Leon and husband Jose; brother Otto Klassen; sister Kaethe Neudorf and husband Jasch; brother Jakob Klassen and wife Agatha; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and extended family in Germany and South America. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 13 at the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Rd., with viewing prior to the service. A fellowship meal will follow with interment at Glen Eden. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or to a charity of your choice.
