ELIZABETH "BETH" RITCHIE Peacefully, on Monday, May 10, 2004, Elizabeth Ritchie, aged 74 passed away at home. She was predeceased by her parents, Judson and Elizabeth McCallum. Beth will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Alex; children, Michael (Helen), Doreen, and John (Joanne) grandchildren, Rick, Dave, Greg, Scott, Dylan and Lauren; and great-granddaughter Delilah. She is also survived by her brothers, Donald (Clare) and Dan; and sister Shirley Swan. Beth spent her working career as a foster mother and care giver to many children. In her later years Beth and Alex enjoyed their time spent at White Mouth Falls, and wintering in Yuma, AZ. Mom had a love for pets, enjoyed bingo and playing cards with friends at the lake. She was a longtime member of the United Church and most recently at St. Vital United Church. Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Marys Road United Church, 613 St. Marys Rd., a reception will follow at church. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or a charity of your choice.
