Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARNOLD HENRY CARROLL Arnold Henry Carroll of Glenboro and formerly of Anola, MB, passed away at the Glenboro Personal Care Home on Monday, May 10, 2004 at the age of 86 years. Arnold leaves to mourn his children, Edwin, Kenneth, Kerwin, George, Anita Carroll, as well as nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Mrs. Gladys Hughes of Kamloops, BC, Mrs. Wylla Webb and Mrs. Karen (Keith) Boughton of Winnipeg; brothers, Mr. John (Erika) Carroll of Winnipeg and Mr. Leonard Carroll of Austin, MB. Many cousins, nieces and nephews survive him as well. Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Myrtle and Thomas Carroll; sister June Carroll, as well as brothers, Mr. Russell (Joy) Carroll and Commander George (Verna) Carroll D.S.M. He was also predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Mr. Wes Hughes and Mr. Wilf Webb. Arnold was born at Stockton, MB on November 21, 1917. He was raised and attended school at Treherne (Arbroth) and Bagot. At an early age Arnold was interested in bees and kept bees periodically over his lifetime. He also became an excellent carpenter and followed that trade for a number of years throughout Western Canada. He was one of the original-founding members of the Manitoba Honey Co-op. He was instrumental in organizing some of the earliest 4-H Clubs in the province. At various times he was a member of the Masons, Oddfellows, the Elks and the Lions Clubs. In later years he settled on an acreage at Anola, MB and for the last few years has lived at Glenboro, MB., the place where he was born. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Glenboro United Church with Rev. Milo Spooner Craig officiating. Interment to follow in the Glenboro Cemetery. Friends that so desire, memoriams may be made in Arnolds memory to the Lions Eye Bank, P.O. Box 1977, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R3 or to a charity of ones choice.
