ANGELINE HELEN HALAS It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my mother Angie Halas, aged 83 years, on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Phyllis Halas and grandson Darren. She also leaves to mourn her brothers, Ray (Elinore), Billy (Edna), Jerry, and Nick (Mina) and their families; and goddaughter Fran Carberry and family. She was predeceased by her parents and infant granddaughter Theresa. Mom was very hard working, raising her four brothers and working at Halas Hardware for a short period. In her younger years, Mom and I would go uptown shopping, dinner and a movie. That was our Wednesdays together. She enjoyed music, dancing and socializing with family and friends. She loved to have her aunt come and read her tea leaves. She really loved when I brought my dog Pepsi. For the last 14 years, she resided at the Maples Personal Care Home. Phyllis would like to thank Eleen, Loreen, Araceli, Nilda, Flora and Valerie for all their care. I would especially like to thank the Seven Oaks Hospital Observation Staff for their loving care they gave Mom. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. followed by enichement at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Moms memory to CancerCare Manitoba or Crohns and Colitis Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
