JAMES THOMAS MACKAY After a brief illness, James Thomas Mackay passed away May 13, 2004 at Parkview Place. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Annie in October 2001. Jim was born in Albury, Australia on February 28, 1912. He served in the Royal Australian Air Force from 1940 to 1945 attaining the rank of Flying Officer (Air Bomber). While he was stationed in Winnipeg during the Second World War, he met his future wife Annie. In 1947 Jim was discharged from the air force and immigrated to Canada. Ann and Jim were married that September. Jim was employed by the T. Eaton Company repairing clocks until his retirement in 1977. He was a Past Master and Life Member of Norwood Lodge No. 19 A.F. & A.M. He was also a long time member of Calvary Temple. Jim is survived by several relatives in Australia and by many of Annies family in Canada and the United States. The family would like to thank the staff of 9 Orchid Bay, Parkview Place, especially Betty for the loving care they gave Jim these last few months. Funeral service will be on Tuesday May 18 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with Pastor Bruce Logan Officiating. Viewing will be prior to the service.
