Frieda was born December 21, 1931 in Unterlag, Slovenia, and immigrated to Canada with her parents and siblings in 1953. Despite many hardships, Frieda embraced life to the fullest with a warm and generous spirit, seeking out the good in people. Frieda delighted in simple pleasures, and took great joy in helping others and caring for her family. We all enjoyed her great cooking and lively spirit. Frieda will be deeply missed and remembered always. Heartfelt thanks to family and friends for their caring and support. You can only have one mother, Loving, kind and true. No other friend in all the world Will be so true to you. For all her loving kindness, She asked nothing in return. If all the world deserted us, To our mother we could turn. For those of us who have a mother, Treasure her with care, For you will never know her value, Till you see that shes not there. To hear her voice, To see her smile, To sit and talk with her awhile, To be together in the same old way, Would be our dearest wish today. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A reception to follow. May she rest in peace. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main St. 338-7111
