Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCIS (FRANK) RUDNICKI It is with great sadness the family announces the untimely death of our husband, dad and papa on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the age of 76. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Hilda of almost 48 years; three daughters, Sandra (Glenn), Glenda (Charles), Corinne (Roderick) granddaughters, Justine, Haley and Sarah. Frank also leaves to mourn his passing sister Joyce Harper of Welwyn, SK; his sisters-in-law, Marie and Rose; brothers-in-law, Wilfred (Marion), Jack and Leslie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Anna; sister Frances; brothers, Tony and Charlie; brothers-in-law, Walter and Cliff; as well as mother and father-in-law, Nellie and Archie McCallum. Frank was born on the family farm in Rathwell, MB on October 19, 1927. It is here that Frank followed in his fathers footsteps as he enjoyed gardening, planting trees, and working with the land. On May 19, 1956, Frank and Hilda were married, continuing to farm in Rathwell. That same fall, they moved into Winnipeg starting a new life where Frank was employed with Canada Packers Ltd. for 27 years. Although Frank was away for many years, he never really left the farm. Frank enjoyed camping with his wife and daughters, then his granddaughters. He also enjoyed several wonderful vacations with his family. Frank was active in the community club, on the executive board, as well as assisting in coaching for his daughters baseball teams. Frank was very much a family man. The last two years he enjoyed watching his granddaughters curling in the "Little Rocker" League. Frank loved to tinker. In his workshop, he was able to wear the hat of a carpenter, a mechanic, an electrician and a painter all with great enthusiasm. Frank always enjoyed spending time with his relatives. He looked forward to the visits from his nieces Jo-Anne of Vancouver, even the surprise ones. In his retirement years, Frank took great care and pride in remodelling the "Rudnicki Home Place". He enjoyed the project and was rewarded with many compliments he received on the building, as well as the beautiful landscaping, which he especially enjoyed creating. He was thrilled when a picture of his "big red barn" was taken for a calendar. He would like to thank Renal Clinic at HSC, especially Drs. Jeffery, Rush and Mary Beth. To the Response Team and Emergency Room Staff at the St. Boniface Hospital. His family says "thank-you" for caring for our husband, father and papa in the most professional and caring manner during his final moments. The family would like to thank Dave, Mary and Agnes for their support at the block. Eric Jorgenson and Kathleen Pickell for helping us at the hospital with notifying family members, and Nenita Barientos and staff at Prairie Rose School. With respect to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life service will be held on Monday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, 3 St. Vital Road, with Rev. Cannon Bob Webster officiating. A reception with family and friends to follow. Interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. immediately after.
