GEORGE GARCIA TESORO On March 21, 2004, our father, George was reunited with his beloved wife, Hera. Left to mourn are his children, Armand (Linda), Gabe (Melba), Jess (Celia), Nieva (Herb), and Mary Grace; grandchildren, Arman (Dierdre), Armalyn, Jeff, Johnny, Marie (Stefan), Jennifer, Joshua, Winona (Sylvain), Malcolm and Mathew; great-grandchildren, Alex, Marc, and Zach. Born in Lal-Lo, Cagayan Valley, Philippines, he worked as a private general building contractor in Makati and Manila. He immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada to be with his children in 1982. In Winnipeg, he worked as a nursing aide at the Holy Cross Family Nursing Home, security guard for Innertec, custodian for the Maples Community Club, and caretaker at 474 Hargrave Ave. buildings. He will be best remembered for his great generosity towards friends. We will not forget his black cowboy hats and his smiling face. Friends of George are invited to a memorial service to be held at St. Edwards Catholic Church at 818 Arlington St. on May 18 at 6:30 p.m. "HAVE A SAFE TRIP DAD AND SAY HELLO TO MOM"
