MORRIS CARL LYPKA Morris Lypka died peacefully on May 15, 2004, at the age of 81 years, at Victoria General Hospital. Morris will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Sonia;, and his sons, Ronald and Gerald (Linda Murray). Morris is survived also by his sisters, Lucy (Nester Olinek) of Toronto, Anna (James Friend) of Denotte, IN; and his brother Victor (Nancy Lypka) of Hammond, IN. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Pearl Lypka. Morris was born on August 22, 1922 in Winnipeg. He attended Norquay Elementary School and St. Johns Technical High School. He worked as a driver salesman for Peerless Laundry, then for Whitehall Laundry, followed by Perths as a manager of the linen rental division. Morris retired in 1986. Morris enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, travelling, meeting people, and spending time at the summer cottage. His trips to Mexico were especially enjoyable. A celebration of Morriss life will be held on Thursday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson "In The Park" Funeral Home (formerly Garry Memorial) 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with interment of ashes to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Russell Wardell officiating. Memorial gifts may be given to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg R3C 4G2.
