MARIA SOFIA PACHECO It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and Avo, Maria Sofia Pacheco. She was predeceased by her loving husband Luis in May, 1993 and by daughter Maria Jose in February 2000. Sofia was born on February 12, 1913 in San Miguel, Azores, Portugal. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1965. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Candido Pereira (Maurina) and daughters, Maria Donoria Almeida (Manuel) and Maria Donatilde Costa (Jose) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Avo will be remembered for her lifelong love of children. Special thanks to the staff of Bethania Personal Care Home for the exceptional care and support they provided. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
