CHRISTINA VANBAALEN Peacefully, on May 8, 2004, Christina VanBaalen (nee Ferguson) passed away. She was born on the 23rd of October, 1921 in Glasgow, Scotland. Christina was predeceased by her devoted and loving daughter Sheila in 1997. Her memory will be cherished by her son-in-law and friend Jim Witney and his wife Brenda. Grandson Brian and great-grandchildren Bryce, Connor and Kierstin. Her grandson Neil and his wife Lucia. Also, her sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Fred Burch, their children and their families will miss her deeply. Christina resided in Gimli until her stroke in 1988 after which she spent her remaining years under the excellent care of the Maples and River East Personal Care Homes. We would like to thank the very special staff at the River East Personal Care Home. Their loving care greatly contributed to the quality of Chris life.
