Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHRYNE (KATE) KLASSEN Kathryne (Kate) passed away peacefully at Rosewood Lodge, Stonewall on Saturday, May 15, 2004. Kate was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Winkler, MB. After moving to Stonewall in 1964, Kate continued to enjoy working at many arts and crafts and her ceramics are in many homes. She will be missed by her four children, Geraldine Hughes, Wesley (Peggy) Klassen, Brenda (Ed) Fergusson, Carol Klassen, seven grandchildren who fondly remember the times they spent making things with their grandmother, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In particular Richard and Barb Klassen and Walter and Donna Klassen were an important part of her life and their care for her is greatly appreciated by the family. She was predeceased by her loving husband Harry, brother John H. K. Dyck, sisters Mary Friesen and Helen Mudge and her son-in-law James Hughes. Kates family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Rosewood Lodge for the kindness and caring they have provided in the years since she has been a resident. It has been a great comfort to know that she was well cared for when we were not able to be there. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 22 at 12:00 noon at the Stonewall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
