LAURA EILEEN MARSHALL Peacefully, with family by her side, Eileen passed away on May 20, 2004. Eileen was predeceased on April 27, by her husband Charlie and will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Gordon, Phillip (Caroline), all of Vancouver and David (Dianne) of Winnipeg and grandchildren, Jeffrey, Scott, Andrea, Alison, Emily, Amy and Austin. Eileen is survived by her sisters, Marian Peddle (Regina) and Shirley Kaley (Edmonton) and brothers, Bruce Davison (Outlook) and Ellwood Davison (Victoria). Eileen was born February 26, 1921 in Saltcoats, SK and received her education at Saltcoats, Rouleau, Outlook and Regina. Eileen met Charlie in Outlook, SK. They were married in Saskatoon on May 2, 1944. After living in Moose Jaw, Saskatoon and Calgary, Eileen and Charlie moved to Winnipeg in 1961 and resided there since. Eileen worked for Weight Watchers of Manitoba from 1971 to 1990, first as secretary and then as controller. While at Weight Watchers, Eileen developed many close friendships which endured after her retirement. Eileen loved family life. She enjoyed spending time with all her family, and particularly cherished visiting with her grandchildren. She was warm, personable and fun to be with, a true friend. Her spirit touched most everyone she met and she will be missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of The Portsmouth where Eileen resided since 2000. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, a donation to a charity of your choice may be made in Eileens memory.
