Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARTHA HASENHEIT The family sadly announces the passing of Martha Hasenheit, aged 96, on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at Riverview Health Centre. Her husband Julius, sister Emma and brothers, Emil and Otto predeceased her. Left to love and remember Martha are her son Jerry and his girlfriend Judy Devloo; granddaughter Melanie who was her sunshine; and her special nephew Jay Balbon; her beloved niece and nephew Edith Robinson and Ray Balbon; her sister-in-law Adele Dober; and her son Al and his wife Antje, all of Germany; special friend Ursula Peter; and many other relatives and friends. Born in Lithuania on November 4, 1907, Martha and her son immigrated to Canada in 1951. Martha worked as a seamstress for Jacob-Crawley until her retirement and then continued to sew privately for many years. She had a love for gardening and also entertaining her friends with great cooking. Many will miss the unique table she set. Martha loved her family and friends unconditionally, and her generosity was remarkable. Funeral service will be held at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St., on Tuesday, May 25 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Heimo Bachmeyer officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Balbon, Gerry Zenchak, Blair Lutz, Ken Samuda, Josh Robinson and Rob Robinson. The family wishes to thank the staff at Riverview for their care, compassion and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 1N9.
