ELLIE PARKER July 23, 1908 - May 18, 2004 In loving memory of Ellie Parker, age 95 years, who died on Tuesday, May 18 at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus. Ellie is survived by her daughters: Melvine (Andre) Petroff of Toronto, and Velma Parker of Ottawa as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and other relatives. She was pre-deceased by her husband Melville, August 1992, and by brothers and sisters; Mae, Roy, Arthur, Albert, Daisy, Mildred and June. Born in Dominion City, MB July 23, 1908, Ellie was married November 20, 1937 and moved to Hudson, ON before settling in Dryden, ON in 1948. During her time in Dryden, Ellie was active with Cubs and Boy Scouts and other childrens associations, arranging activities and camp trips. She was a member of Group 1 of the United Church Women at First United Church, the Orange Lodge and the Moose Lodge. Mum was a wonderful wife and mother, providing us with a loving and stable home. She always gave us support in whatever we wanted to do and this support will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, at 2:00 p.m. in First United Church with Rev. Pat Cleghorn officiating. Interment will follow in the Dryden Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday, May 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Moffat Chapel.
