Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD AITKENHEAD April 10, 1926 - May 19, 2004 At his home in Pinawa, MB Len was born in the Lake District of England and moved with his family to Whitemouth, MB in 1929 where he spent a very happy youth. Len was predeceased by his parents, Esther and William Aitkenhead; his sisters, Anne and Frances; as well as his brothers, James, Thomas and Bill. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Betty; daughter Lynda (Fred) his grandchildren, Sharon (Phil) and Allen; his brother Dave of Edmonton; along with many special nieces, nephews, and friends. Len spent the major part of his working life working for C.A.E. and later, Winnipeg School Division No. 1. His time spent at the family cottage at Whitemouth was very precious to him. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Avenue East, Beausejour with Rev. Robert Murray officiating. In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated if donations were made to the Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
