ENA BULLEN (formerly McNAUGHTON) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and Nanna, Ena Bullen on Monday, May 17, 2004 at Kildonan Personal Care Centre. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Corinne Atkinson and son-in-law Ken; grandchildren, Kerri Hemmett and husband Kelly, Kim Duguid and husband Kevin; her dear great-grandchildren who brought her joy and kept her young, these "Little Angels" are Carlynn and Connor Hemmett, Justin, Jayde and Joelle Duguid. She has left behind her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Eleanor McNaughton, Bob and Ede Bullen, Norman and Irene Bullen, Margaret Lousier, Jean Turner and Nan Souch. Ena also leaves her stepchildren, Bill and Janet Bullen, Doreen and Don Webb and Doug and Debbie Bullen and families. Back home in England she leaves to cherish her memory sister-in-law Sheila Marshall; nephews, Gary Marshall and wife Janet, Ian Marshall and wife Jean and their families including her special cousin and best friend Julia Widdowson. As well as many other relatives and family around the world. She was predeceased by her first husband Cecil (Mac) McNaughton in 1961, her second husband Bill Bullen in 1993 and brother Leslie Marshall. Ena was born in Yorkshire, England on November 8, 1925 and remained there until 1945 when she moved to Canada with her daughter Corinne and husband Mac. After losing Mac in 1961, she met and married Bill in 1963. Ena and Bill enjoyed many years of travelling together and spent several year as "snowbirds" in Arizona where they acquired many friends. She continued to enjoy winters in Arizona after Bills death with her family and friends. Ena cherished the times spent with her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed telling them stories and making crafts. As a family we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Loepp and staff at Concordia Hospital and Misericordia Hospital for their care and compassion. The nursing and support staff of the Kildonan Personal Care Centre will also be remembered for their overwhelming support during Enas short time there. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Rev. Jim Hatherly officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Enas memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice.
