LILLIAN MURIEL JACK (nee FORD) 1921 - 2004 Peacefully in her sleep Lillian passed away at her residence at Oakview Place on March 25, 2004. Lillian was born on January 29, 1921 in Winnipeg, MB at the Grace Hospital. Lillian was predeceased by her father John Ford; mother Mary Ford; brother Roy Dalton Ford; and sisters, Dorothy Marquardson and Joyce Middler. Lillian is survived by her sister Verna McCulloch of Calgary, her brother Jack Ford and many nieces and nephews. Lillian played the accordion and received high marks in her secretarial studies at Success Business College majoring in shorthand. Lillian was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis following a car accident in 1940. Lillian fought hard against the progression of the disease. Lillian eventually took up residence at Oakview Place on Ness Avenue where she continued to take part in activities even winning an award for wheelchair bowling. Lillian was escorted for many years on outings by her brother Jack and his late wife Lily Ford. Many thanks to Jack for his devotion and entertaining nature that brightened up Lillians days. Niece Elizabeth MacKay and Grandniece Brittany Tibble for visiting with Lillian when Jack could not be there. Jack wishes to express his sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Oakview Place for the care they have given Lillian over the many years residing there. Cremation has already taken place. Lillian has been laid to rest at Brookside Cemetery.
