ALICE HARDING JEFFERY On Sunday, May 16, 2004, at Oakview Place, Alice Jeffery passed away at the age of 98 years. Alice was born on January 16, 1906. She came to Canada in 1911, married Edward Harding and raised eight children in St. James, Winnipeg, MB. Moving to Vancouver in the early 1950s she worked at the Vancouver General Hospital for 25 years. When she retired, Alice moved back to Winnipeg and married Alfred Jeffery and upon his passing she moved to Legion Lodge. When her health began to fail Alice moved to Oakview Place, where she lived the rest of her life. Alice was predeceased by her daughters Hazel and Barbara. She is survived by her daughters, Beatrice, Joan, Vivian and Joyce (Ron) her sons, Edward (Peggy) and Gordon (Ruth), 29 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren and 37 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service is pending. The family wishes to thank the staff at Oakview Place for their kindness and care to our mother.
