Left to cherish the many memories of Dennis are his wife Mona of 46 years and two daughters, Heather Bailey (Ron), Arlene Klein (Robert) and three grandchildren, Shaedyn, Lexi and Tegan. His grandchildren were one of his greatest joys and pleasures. They lit up his day and he loved them dearly. They will miss their papa. Dennis was predeceased by his mother Helen and father William. Dennis will also be missed by his many family relations as well as many friends. Dennis was born and educated in Winnipeg. As a young man he excelled in sports. At Tec Voc High School he set a record, which stood for some time for the 100-yard dash. He also played football for the then Norquay Rams as well as soccer for the second division Canadian Ukrainian soccer team. He also belonged to the Masons for a number of years. Dennis started his business career initially in the insurance sector. He moved on to start his own business operating the coin and stamp counter in Eatons for many years. He finally closed out his business career at Eatons in the furniture department at Polo Park. The family is grateful for the support and compassion given to Dennis and the family by the nurses on 5B of the St. Boniface Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit. According to Denniss wishes there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made in Denniss name to the Kidney Foundation or charity of your choice.
