DENIS PEARSON Suddenly on May 21, 2004, Denis Pearson passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital due to heart failure. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Willene; daughters, Anya Hofmann and Elizabeth Pearson; step-daughters, Kim (Cliff) Jeffers, Wendy Keeley and Debbie Shaver; stepson Richard Jones; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, also his father Emile Pearson. Denis was predeceased by his mother Rose Pearson and brother Ken Pearson. He was employed by Acklands Grainger for 32 years, taking early retirement. Denis was a life member of the Legion, starting at the Duke of Kent where he served on the executive committee up to being President. He then transferred to Elmwood and there again served on the executive committee. Denis also served on the Legion Housing Board again becoming President. He enjoyed drinking beer and fishing with his buddies at the Narrows. The family would like to thank all the staff in the Dialysis Unit at St. Boniface Hospital, and the emergency staff also at the St. Boniface Hospital, for all their support and care. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., on Wednesday, May 26 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
