Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIDNEY GUY DEMOND February 13, 1935 - May 24, 2004 Peacefully, Sidney Demond passed away at the age of 69 at his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Guy and Alice Demond of Upper Cornwall, NS; two sons, Brian and Philip; and two brothers, John and William. Sidney will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 46 years Shirley; daughter Colleen (Bobby) Bremner of Chester, NS; three sons, Barry of Winnipeg, Todd (Gina) of Vancouver, Shawn (Pat) of Brandon; grandchildren, Sheryl, Ashley, Desiree, Alexis, and Carlos; two brothers, George and Roger of Cornwall; and one sister Susan of Dartmouth, NS. Sidney will also be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends. Sidney joined the military in 1952 and served with the R.C.H.A. He served in Cypress, Korea and Germany, retiring in 1976. Since retirement he worked for Canadian Tire and Powervac for many years. He enjoyed working with his hands and could fix anything. Sidney loved travelling, was very friendly and ready to meet new faces and was always willing to give a helping hand. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 27 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow. The family would like to thank friends and neighbours for all their support and love. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Sidneys name.
