Mom was born May 26, 1929 in Winnipeg and attended school in both Winnipeg and Sprague, MB. At the age of 25 she met this really handsome man at Calvary Temple which was the beginning of their 36 year journey together. A little more than a year after their marriage, the first of their five children was born. This was the beginning of Moms lifelong commitment of love and devotion to her family. Her children were her pride and joy and were the most important thing on earth. Mom loved music. She enjoyed playing the violin and especially loved to sing. Moms happiest moments were to have her children and their families spend time with her; reminiscing, singing and listening to gospel music. In her earlier days, she played and sang at the Full Gospel Mission in Sprague and the Lighthouse Mission in Winnipeg. She also sang as part of a trio on a weekly radio broadcast. Moms love for singing was even evident to the very end where she could often be heard singing along to her favourite gospel songs. Mom had the most incredible smile that could light up the darkest room even in the midst of the many challenges she faced in her lifetime. Her faith in God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour gave her much joy and strength for each day. Mom loved to read her Bible, reading it through on a yearly basis. We know Mom is celebrating in heaven with many friends and loved ones, especially her beloved Abe. Mom, the gift of watching your unwavering faith in God, and feeling your unconditional love has been a blessing that will be cherished forever. We love you Mom and know that we will see you again. We would like to thank the staff at Misericordia Health Centre; Calvary Place Personal Care Home and to Riverview Health Centre for the loving care given to our mother. Funeral service will be held in the Buntain Chapel at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St. on Friday, May 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor H.H. Barber officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Full Gospel Mission cemetery in Sprague, MB at 4:00 p.m. Rock Fontaine Funeral Director, Winnipeg, in care of arrangements 223-2576.
