LEWIS NELSON MacGREGOR It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Lew on Saturday, May 22, 2004. He will be greatly missed. Lew is survived by his daughters, Eva and Carol (George) son Michael (Marla) father Hugh; sisters, Lila, Carol (Albert) and Brenda (Stewart) brothers, Abb (Morag), Gary (Paulette). He was predeceased by his wife Joy; mother Georgie; sisters, Annie Laurie, Lillas and nephew Jacy. Lew was born December 29, 1932 in OLeary, PEI. He came to Winnipeg in 1954 and worked at various jobs including farming and MacArthurs Trucking. He then changed careers and became a Correctional Officer at Headingley Gaol, where he worked for 32 years until he retired at age 60. Dad treasured all his friends, many of whom he spent countless hours talking with over coffee at Robins. His hobbies included antique cars, collecting watches, and playing cribbage. The family would like to thank all who befriended Lew. You made his life brighter. A service will be held on Friday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m. in Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. Viewing will be one half hour prior to the service.
