He proudly served overseas with the Fort Garry Horse from 1939 to 1945. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and had an unconditional love and gentle spirit which will be remembered and cherished by his family forever. The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at Seven Oaks ICU and Health Sciences Centre MICU for their excellent care given to Dad. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting Until the very end.
