RUTH RECKSIEDLER It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ruth Recksiedler on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at the Deloraine Health Centre. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Joyce (Don) and son Gary (Judy). Her precious grandchildren, Randy (Kelly), Greg, Spencer (Kristina), Trevor (Kandace), Darrin (Tammy), Crystal (Sean), Lisa, Mark and great-granddaughter Marsha and one stepgreat-grandchild Emily. She also leaves to mourn her loss her brothers, Arnold (Elsie), Raymond, Bill (Ileen) sisters, Hazel (Don), Doris, Shirley (Dick), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Peter Yusishen, her daughter Merle Lautsch, her late husband Herman Recksiedler, sister Verna and sister-in-law Lorena. Ruth was born in Balsam Bay, MB on August 6, 1921 to the late William and Alice Anderson. Ruth resided most of her married life in Grand Marais but lived also in Stead, Winnipeg and Deloraine throughout the years. Ruth enjoyed life and was happiest when she had a house full of company. Her door was always open and you could expect to be fed and watered when you walked through the door. Ruth looked forward to her family and friends stopping in for a game and a visit that at times lasted until all hours of the morning. Due to illness, Ruth had to leave her home in 1998 and move to Deloraine. She lived with her daughter until it became necessary last August to be placed in the Bren Del Win Lodge PCH where she gained another family. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the doctors, nurses, support staff and ambulance drivers from Deloraine and Brandon for the expertise, compassion and dedication shown to Mom especially over the last two months. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 29 at 3:00 p.m. in the Wayside Gospel Chapel, Grand Marais, MB with Mr. Alex Cross officiating. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a memorial donation may be made in Ruths memory to a charity of ones choice. Smith Funeral Home, Deloraine in care of arrangements.
