RAYMOND MASSEY WILLIAMSON Peacefully on May 23, 2004, after a brave battle against cancer, Ray passed away at the age of 59. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Rosemary; children, Todd (Sharon), Treavor (Jaqueline), and Tammy; grandchildren, Anthony, Tianna, and Travis; and countless other family and friends. He is predeceased by his father Rueben, mother Irene and sister Patsy. Born March 17, 1945, Ray always had a great love of the outdoors and all it had to offer. He taught his family to also enjoy these things. Whether it was hunting, trapping, or fishing, there he would be with all or part of his family sharing in his passions. He was a great student and teacher of the outdoors. Anyone who remembers half of what he taught them would know more than most. Ray spent more than two thirds of his life in the employ of Maple Leaf Construction. He made many friends during this time, all throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He always seemed to befriend the local RCMP, who he always held in the highest respect. He saw Maple Leaf as his second family; a family, which he was loyal to and would do anything for. As his first family, we would like to thank them for everything they did for Dad and us when he could no longer do for them. We also extend our deepest appreciation and thanks to the doctors and nurses who helped him through his battle and especially, the nurses and staff at St. Boniface PCU who helped make his last days peaceful and dignified. We know he is okay now, and is probably relaxing with either a cup of tea or a shot of rum. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 31, 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with the Rev. Msgr. Maurice J. Comeault, P.H., V.F. presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rays name to 8A PCU, St. Boniface Hospital, 409 Tache St, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6 or CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot St, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
