DANIEL LANG After a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 Daniel Lang passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 85 years. Daniel is survived by his children, Cecilia (John), Danny and Ruth; grandchildren, Danny Paul (Sherry), Kenny (Janet), Kristine (Derek) great-grandchild Madisen; brothers, Ben, Walter, Ted, Butch; sisters, Alice and Stella; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Rose; daughter Alice; brothers, Bill and Alec; and daughter-in-law Bernice. Daniel will always be remembered for his strength, he never ceased to amaze us. He was our friend, Dad, Grandpa and our idol. He served with the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders and was wounded overseas. November 11th , "Remembrance Day" was his day. His garden was his biggest joy as well as his biggest frustration. A special thanks to the doctors and staff of the 6th floor west and the Palliative Care unit of the St. Boniface Hospital for all their care. Memorial service will be on Saturday, May 29 at 1:00 p.m. in P.
