LEONE PASSAGGIO With love and great sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of Leone Passaggio on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at the age of 74. Leone was predeceased by his wife Assunta in May 1984. Left to cherish his memory are son Leonardo (Lorraine and grandson Dylan), daughter Susan (Neil and granddaughter Kristen), and son Sam (Kathy) also brother Salvatore, sisters Angelina, Caterina, and Giovanna in Agrigento, Sicily, Italy; also with his sister-in-law Concetta, and brother-in-law Gerlando of Winnipeg. Leone will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Winnipeg and Italy. Leone was born on December 11, 1929 in Agrigento, Sicily, Italy and came to Canada in 1965. He retired from Fresh Water Fisheries in 1994, which left him ample time to purse his passion for hunting, fishing, and gardening. Prayers will be said on Monday, May 31, at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 1, at 10:30 a.m., also in the church with Rev. Fr. Vincent de Paul Tchaoule presiding at the Eucharist. Entombment will follow at Assumption Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Avenue. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the Staff of Internal Medicine, at the St. Boniface Hospital.
