Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRODERICK (ROD) ALEXANDER MacKENZIE On Friday, May 28, 2004 Rod MacKenzie passed away in the Victoria General Hospital. Rod was born in Winnipeg, MB on August 25, 1913. He lived most of his life in Winnipeg where he was a successful, well-respected businessman. He was co-owner of Schumacher-MacKenzie, electrical contractors. Rod was past-president (1966) of Shrine Khartum Patrol, a member of Kiwanis, and Fellow of Passwa. He retired 30 years ago to enjoy Glensheil, his acreage in St. Norbert, MB. Rod is survived by his children, Ken (Donna) of Belleville, ON, Mary-Jean of Winnipeg, Rod (Linda) of Medicine Hat, AB, Heather (Bill) of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Jamie (Marlene), Jennifer (Steve), Vince (Janice), Mary, Scott, John, Karen, Bryan; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholai, Marcus, Sydney, Samantha, Callie. He was predeceased by his loving wife Bertha; parents Alec and Ella and grandson Roderick Andrew. Rod provided a legacy of great honesty, loyalty, hard work and forthrightness and love of children. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cathedral Cemetery.
