Beloved wife of Winton Newman, predeceased 2002; loving mother of Melissa (husband Charlie Smith), Kerry and Lance; cherished grandmother of Adrienne, Matthew and Lillian; dear aunt of Susan Leeson, Jane and Ken Holman, Scott and Lise Galloway, Scott and Linda Newman, Michael and Linda Newman; dear sister-in-law of Berkley and Edna Newman; special friend of Marian Rickaby; and lifelong friend Margaret Milligan. Born in Kenora, she married Winton in 1952. She and Winton were true life partners who lived each day for the other. They enjoyed many summers at their cottage on Falcon Lake in Manitoba, and winters in Molokai, Hawaii. Elizabeth was a loving and wonderful mother, a dedicated and caring grandmother, and a loyal and devoted friend. At Elizabeths request, there will be no public visitation or service; cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
