CIVITA MARIA SCINICARIELLO (nee BUONOMO) Peacefully, after a brief illness on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at St. Boniface Hospital Civita passed away at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her children, Cosmo Scinicariello (Pina) of Kelowna B.C., and Rita Rampone (Tony), grandchildren, Raphaela Lecomte (Gerald), Erasmo DErrico (Leah), Laura DErrico, Maurizio Rampone, Daniela Curcio (John), Maria Macdonnell (Andrew), Gianna Oram (Derek), Mina Cerminara (Carlo), great- grandchildren, Gina Lecomte, Gino and Desiree DErrico, Christopher, Nicholas, Michael, and Jacob Macdonnell, Sofia, Isabella, and Alyssa Oram, Julianna and Matteo Cerminara, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Italy. Civita was predeceased by her husband Erasmo, and her daughter Giuseppina DErrico, as well as her brothers and sisters. Civita was born and lived in Gaeta, Italy where she married Erasmo and started a family. She was a very strong woman who lived through much in her lifetime. She lived and survived through the Second World War with a young family to care for on her own. A few years after the war, they decided to immigrate to Canada to begin a new life for themselves and their family. Civita worked for many years in the garment industry, making many friends. Her life revolved around her family and friends. Prayers will be said Tuesday, June 1, 2004 in Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 2 at 10:30 a.m., also in the church, with Fr. Vincent De Paul Tchaoule presiding. Entombment will follow at Chapel of Eternal Memories, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimers Society. 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 4G2.
