Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN FORREST (SMITH) Early Sunday morning, May 30, 2004 at Golden West Centennial Lodge, Evelyn (Smith) Forrest, peacefully slipped away. Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) Forrest, predeceased 1985; loving mother of Elaine (Barry Dunlop) cherished grandmother of Karen (Bruce Klassen). Daina (Byron Darlison), Ross (Jan Stewart) and Bob (Leslie) and great-grandmother to Simon, Sarah, Shea, Sonia, Rowan, Jack Hana, Dillon and Riley. Evelyn was predeceased by her brothers, Dave and Jack and her sisters, Belle and Ethel. She is survived by her sister Martha of Cranbrook and her brothers, Stan and Bill of Fernie, BC. She was born in Coal Creek, BC and married Robert (Bob) in 1935. Their early married life was spent in Trail, BC, moving to Winnipeg in the early 1940s. She devoted her life to looking after her family. Mom and Dad enjoyed travel and their cottage at West Hawk Lake. Mom was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved music, sports, had a great sense of humour and loved being around people. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at GWCL, especially the 2nd floor, for the care and kindness with which she was treated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 10 at Golden West Centennial Lodge, School Road and Ness Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3K5 or Salvation Army Golden West Centennial Lodge would be appreciated.
