Cathy immigrated to Canada in 1955 with her family. She had a captivating and beautiful personality and spent hours regaling her family with stories. Apart from her love of gardening, she had a passion for travel, but the joy of her life was her family. For the last six years of her life Cathy resided at Villa Nova in Winnipeg, made many wonderful friends and will be sadly missed. A celebration of Cathys life will take place on Wednesday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. God saw you getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you And whispered "come to me". With tearful eyes we watched you And saw you pass away, And although we loved you dearly We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Wee dainty hands to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Kiss Grandpa , Lyn, Mackenzie and Andrew for us. • Granny, we miss you. I’ll never forget putting dandelions under our chins, if your chin turned yellow meant you liked butter. - Posted by: Shawn Miller (Great Grandson) on: Jul 26, 2021
